Fadi Karam
Mr. Fadi Karam’s professional experience counts more than 20 years of consulting in the areas of agrometeorological and hydro meteorological systems, small scale irrigation, water resources management, adaptation to climate change, agricultural productivity, and etc. He’s been working with various multilateral organizations, such as European Union, World Bank, Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, IFAD, World Meteorological Organization, United Nations Industrial Development Organization and bilateral development agencies, such as Australian International Development Agency, Co-operazione Italiana, German Agency for International Cooperation, Japanese International Cooperation Agency, Swedish International Development Agency, and United States Agency for International Development. Fadi Karam has rich experience of working with development actors and representatives of farming community in Middle East,North Africa and Former Soviet Union.
Fadi Karam is a B.A. in Agricultural Sciences with specialization on Plant Production from Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon. In 1992, Mr. Karam acquired M.S. Degree in Irrigation from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institue of Bari, Italy. He is a Doctor of Philosophy Agricultural of Water Management & Crop Production of the University of Basilicata, Italy.
Fadi Karam actively pursues scientific career and regularly publishes materials on efficiency of water management, climate change, plant productivity, effectiveness and efficiency of fertilizer application, optimal farming, and etc.
Fadi Karam is a native Arabic speaker. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Italian.
